Writing

I am haunted by words.

There are many things in life that we all take for granted. Sometimes we are so corrupted by our day-to-day routine, that we forget the little things. Personally, I love words. There's something about them that is beautiful and they inspire me. I have been thinking a lot lately about how a simple sentence can send someone into a whirlwind fantasy. There's something beautiful about that. Words can be an escape from reality.

We are all taught as young children on how to write "correctly." I never bought the idea that writing has a correct form. It's something that is yours, personal and your heart on a piece of paper. I've surpassed the lessons of paragraphing, formatting, developing and processing. I write what I feel and that is what will capture an audience. It can be the best form of therapy for anyone. You don't have to love writing to find the true beauty within it. A small child may start with a diary, another may write in a journal to relieve pain and others do it for the words.

Everyone lives their life for something. Whether we like to admit it or not, we all have that hidden motive behind each choice we make. Some fall in love with love, others play for the love of the game, more live because that's what they were put here to do. However, I live for words and once I'm out of them, that is when I have nothing.

I am haunted by words.
